Moringa is a type of tree originally from Asia, whose leaves are harvested and have been used medicinally for many centuries. It is often turned into a supplement form, as with this product. Moringa is said to contain a vast amount of anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, with high levels of vitamins, minerals and nutrients. The product claims that it is a healthy alternative to eating high caloric density foods and should provide you with 42% of your minimum daily requirements for protein and up to 125% for calcium. Furthermore, the product claims to aid in digestion and concerting foods into energy and may improve metabolism.
Ingredients
Moringa Oleifera is the only active ingredient in this supplement. It comes in the form of a powder, which has been enclosed in a vegetable capsule made of purified water and cellulose. Each capsule contains 800mg of Moringa Oleifera. The ideal daily value for Moringa has not yet been established.
Dosage Instructions
The product is unclear about its dosage instructions. The label says that 2 capsules are considered 1 serving size but does not say how many servings are to be taken in the day, what time of the day, with or without a meal. The product states not to exceed the recommended dose; a conflicting message seeing as that dose is not given. If you are pregnant or nursing, under the age of 18 or have a known medical condition the manufacturers recommend consulting a physician before using the product.
Cost and Guarantee
The cost of one container of 60 capsules is $20.05. If you increase the number of containers you buy, the price decreases. For example, 2 costs $14.05 per container, 4 or more will cost you $10.05 per container, etc.
The manufacturers do not seem to offer a guarantee. Research suggests they used to offer a 90-day chance to request a refund where a detailed explanation needs to be given as to why the refund is requested. The lack of a guarantee raises the concern as to the efficacy of the product.
