Today we are reviewing a product called Mycota Powder and Cream for the treatment of athlete’s foot. The manufacturer, Mycota, claims that their cream and a powder, offers a two step process to kill the fungus that is causes athlete’s foot.
Ingredients
- Zinc Undecenoate

Both the powder and the cream have the same two main ingredients, but have slightly different strengths of the medicines. While they both have Zinc Undecenoate standardized to 20%, the cream has Undecenoic Acid 5% and the powder’s is standardized to only 2%. Both of these contain much less than the clinically proven standardization of 25% of this acid. With such low concentrations, this product may be less effective than competitor brands.

Summary Of Our Mycota Powder and Cream Review
There are a several positive aspects to Mycota Powder and Cream. This two step system offers both the cream to target the athlete’s foot and the powder to help prevent it from coming back. The product is well priced when compared to other anti fungal products. Other than these aspects, we found many weaknesses to this product. The ingredients in both products have a standardization much lower than the research recommended concentration. There is a lack of clear warnings or possible side effects or how long to the product is supposed to take until your infection is fully healed. The manufacturer does not offer any guarantee or refund policy. There is no assurance that the product is made in an FDA certified facility, that it is free from GMO ingredients, if it is allergen free, or if the product was not tested on animals. When we checked on Amazon, we only found 4 customer reviews for this product. For all these reasons, we cannot recommend this product as an athlete’s foot treatment. Look for an alternative product that has a solid guarantee, the right concentration of ingredients, and some good bulk buying discounts.
