Isododecane is a solvent that is commonly found in cosmetics but it is not a natural compound. Cyclopentasiloxane is a silicone that helps products become more easily spreadable. This ingredient leaves a barrier on the skin that gives a smooth feeling and is a water repellent. Dimethicone is another silicone that traps in moisture - it should be noted that our research showed that this ingredient also traps dirt, oil and other impurities. Shea Butter has many known benefits that can improve the condition of the skin, reduce inflammation and improve elasticity. Cetearyl Methicone is a common anti-foaming agent. Cetyl Alcohol is one of the better alcohols to have in cosmetics as it has hydrating properties. While some forms of Squalane can be reproduced chemically it is typically harvested from olives and is a natural antioxidant. While Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter and Boerhavia Diffusa Root Extract both have calming and protective properties.
