Product Claims of Genexa Jet Lag Rx

The following is our product review for Genexa Jet lag Rx. Genexa Jet Lag Rx is a homeopathic supplement containing all natural ingredients. The manufacturer claims that it can help to combat the symptoms of jet lag including fatigue, mood changes, sleeplessness, early waking, loss of appetite, nausea and sluggishness.

Ingredients

  • Arnica montana
  • Cinchona officinalis
  • Cocculus indicus
  • Coffea cruda
  • Tabacum

The product includes homeopathic plant ingredients that have not been scientifically proven to be effective in treating the symptoms of jet lag. Arnica montana has an anti-contraction effect on the muscles of the body. This helps relaxation and lessens tension. Cinchona officinalis contains a variety of plant chemicals called alkaloids. No scientific studies have determined that Cocculus indicus has any significant benefits to treating jet lag. Coffea cruda has been shown to reduce brain activity to facilitate the process of falling asleep. Tabacum or tobacco leaf contains a variety of alkaloid compounds to reduce anxiety and nausea. Tabacum can be a toxic compound that can actually cause nausea rather than reduce it. The supplement is lacking the key ingredient melatonin which is known to help induce drowsiness.

Dosage Instructions

For adults and those above 12 years of age, chew two tablets at take off then two every 4 hours, and two after landing. For children between the ages of three and eleven years, chew one tablet at take off, then every 4 hours while in flight, and one at landing. Possible side effects include nausea, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, vision disturbances and bleeding. If pregnant or nursing, consult your physician before using.

Cost and Guarantee

On the company website, one package of 60 tablets costs $16.99 plus shipping. You can get a 20% discount ($3.39) and frees shipping if you subscribe for recurring orders. Genexa offers a 30 day money back guarantee, but it is not specified if this includes opened packages too.

Summary Of Our Genexa Jet Lag Rx Review

We liked that the product is certified as vegan, gluten-free, non GMO, and homeopathic, and that it comes an easy to chew format. Another positive aspect of the supplement is that it is certified organic and therefore free of synthetic additives like dyes, pesticides, parabens and synthetics. Genexa Jet Lag Rx is also priced quite reasonably with the option for a 20% discount and free shipping if subscribing to a recurring order. Among the less positive aspects of this supplement are that it has a weak guarantee that only lasts 30 days and does not appear to include open packages. There are no first time customer discounts, and shipping is an extra cost if not buying in bulk. The product is homeopathic with ingredients that have not been scientifically proven to be effective. The supplement is lacking the key ingredient melatonin which is known to help induce drowsiness. Some ingredients raised red flags for us including Tabacum (tobacco leaf) which is a rather poisonous compound that can actually cause nausea rather than reduce it. The website does not explain the possible side effects of this nor the other ingredients in the supplement, and this is disappointing. The supplement does not appear to have any certification by the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) body. We suggest looking for an alternative supplement for jet lag that has a better guarantee and safer ingredients.
